Compassionate Youth Day Treatment

Pathway to Beach

Fresh Coast Counseling provides structured, trauma-informed mental health day treatment for children and adolescents who need more support than weekly outpatient therapy but do not require inpatient or residential care.

Children’s Program: K5–5th Grade | Adolescent Program: 6th–12th Grade

More Support. More Connection.
A Clearer Path Forward.

When emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns begin interfering with life at home, at school, or with friends, weekly therapy may not provide enough support.

Fresh Coast Counseling offers a structured therapeutic day program where children and adolescents receive individualized treatment, practice coping and relationship skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Families, schools, and community providers are active partners throughout the treatment process.

Individual & Family Therapy

Youth receive individualized psychotherapy from an authorized clinician. Family therapy and caregiver involvement may also be included based on each youth’s treatment plan.

Therapy & Skills Groups

Youth participate in clinician-led psychotherapy groups and clearly identified skills and support groups focused on coping, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, mindfulness, and relationships.

Why Fresh Coast?

Strengths-Based Care

We help youth recognize their abilities, build on what is already working, and develop practical strategies for the areas that feel difficult.

Individualized Support

Treatment plans, services, goals, and interventions are shaped around each youth’s needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Family Partnership

Parents and legal representatives participate in treatment planning, progress discussions, and preparation for the transition to less intensive services.

Coordinated Care

With appropriate authorization, our team collaborates with schools, outpatient providers, prescribers, medical professionals, and community supports.

Who May Benefit from Day Treatment?

Fresh Coast Counseling is designed for children and adolescents whose emotional, behavioral, developmental, or mental health needs significantly interfere with life at home, at school, with peers, or in the community—and who need more structure and support than routine outpatient treatment can provide.

Anxiety or depression

Emotional dysregulation

ADHD or executive-functioning needs

Autism-related support needs

Anger, aggression, or disruptive behavior

School avoidance or declining functioning

Peer or social difficulties

Family conflict

Trauma-related symptoms

Transition from hospitalization or a higher level of care

Admission decisions are individualized. Our team considers each youth’s current needs, safety, developmental functioning, treatment goals, available supports, and whether the program can provide safe and appropriate care.

A diagnosis, referral, or submitted form does not guarantee admission.

Make a Referral

Fresh Coast Counseling welcomes referrals from parents and legal representatives, therapists, prescribers, pediatric and primary care providers, school professionals, hospitals, crisis providers, case managers, and community partners.

Submitting a referral begins the information-gathering process. Our team will review the referral, contact the appropriate person, gather additional records when authorized, and determine whether an intake appointment may be appropriate.

Submitting a referral does not guarantee admission.  Fresh Coast Counseling completes a separate screening and intake process to determine whether the program can safely and appropriately meet the youth's needs.
